sound of odden is an ongoing project with multiple field recordings and audio works recorded and released by artist ingerlise oellgaard (kode_c).

sound of odden draws on material gathered with various field recording methodologies including ‘drop-rig’ overnight recording setups, regular deployment of underwater hydrophones in the sea and dock, as well as utilising contact microphones to detect hidden vibrations within the areas plants and soils.

kode_c

kode_c is a musical project started in 2023 by Ingerlise Oellgaard.

the project has its roots in the improvisational and electronic glitch aesthetic universe, created in collaboration with composer and electronic musician Messell.

the set-up is minimalist with vocal mic, synth and individual instrumental elements, which together create an unfiltered and distorted sounds.

‘crashing waves’ is the project's first release, and the demo also reveals a simplicity and vulnerability that can be heard in the inner dialogues where shimmering and restless sound distortions have depth. with the demo you hit directly into the artist's own deep recesses, blinded by uncertainty, powerlessness and intimacy.
